My Blogging Hero
Amy Clark’s momadvice.com is, hands down, one of the best mom blogs on the net. Last year she debuted a recipe for dark chocolate brownies that is sure to be a household hit. (See bottom of page.) I have, very respectfully, tweaked her recipe for this week’s Friday Fun. My salute to my blogging hero nods a little more to the health conscious line and probably more to the adult palette, too. See what you think.
My Dark Chocolate Brownies with Sea Salt:
1+ 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened dark cocoa
1+1/2 cups sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup dried cherries (I’m also desperately curious to see what dried blueberries would be like in this.)
1/2 teaspoon instant coffee
3/4 teaspoon sea salt

Awesome idea – I loved salted sweetness, it’s so delicious.
